课题研究工作坊 2:重构基础英语教育课程理念

中小学生为什么要学习英语?传统的观点认为,英语教育就是为了使学习者能用英语与人交流,而在许多人的潜意识里,所谓交流,就是与英美人交流。但国际上越来越多的学者认为,人们对于英语教学任务的看法过于狭窄。我们认为,有必要再思考基础英语教育的核心理念,调整理论框架,修订教学目标。我国基础英语教育应该设定为“多元目标”,设计“多元目标”的课程理论框架。在本场报告里,首先,我们会向大家介绍本课题的背景,结合自己的访谈,阐述多元目标的理念,描述多元目标中的各项内容以及重新定位各项内容之间的关系。我们会对几种基本的课题研究方法进行相关的介绍,并结合本课题的具体实施方案展开讨论。

李茨婷,上海外国语大学英语语言学硕士,加拿大维多利亚大学教育硕士,香港大学应用语言学博士,曾任教复旦大学.曾在Education Studies, Discourse and Communication, Asian Journal of English Language Teaching发表论文,多次在国际会议上发言.研究兴趣主要在语用学,语用迁移,语用学习与教学策略,礼貌原则,话语分析,文化身份认同,跨文化交际,文化心理学和质性研究.

Dr Tom Yuping Duan works as research fellow in Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), UK. He got MA in Applied Linguistics in Lancaster University and PhD in Language Studies in University of Kent, UK. His main research interests include Teacher Education; Intercultural Communication; Critical Discourse Analysis; Language Testing; Critical Research Methodology, Teaching, Learning and Professional Development in Higher Education. He has been involved in a range of research projects such as ‘Discount Hofstedian Categories: A Case Study on Intercultural Communication in the IBM Corporation in the UK’ (in collaboration with Universities of Bristol, Bath and Essex) and a Research Informed Teaching Project in HE in the UK: ‘Social Construction of Academic’s identity in a new English university’. He is currently involved with Prof Adrian Holliday in collaboration with Prof Yafu Gong, NAFLE on “Researching creative autonomy amongst Chinese Secondary School Students in China.
